Ronan Treussart
An experienced skipper
The German airline has selected Ronan Treussart, a circuit regular since 2006, to fly the Lufthansa flag. Born in Saint-Brieuc in the Côtes-d’Armor département, Ronan has had a passion for sailing since a very young age. Today it is his life.
"The development of a new partnership is the result of extremely good preparation and cooperation between the two parties. This preliminary work with Lufthansa is passionate and precludes an extremely wonderful adventure for the upcoming Figaro Bénéteau season. I am extremely happy and proud to fly the flag for Lufthansa, one of the biggest airlines in the world, in 2010," he said.
27 years of age, he possesses a wealth of experience in the discipline: Champion of France Espoir in 2004, 6th in the French Championships in 2007, Ronan now continues his sporting career with Lufthansa, entering the new season with confidence.

Teammate for the Transat
Yannick knows everything there is to know about all kinds of boats. And a glance at the string of awards and numerous titles he has won in various different classes provide sufficient proof of this. In 2007 and 2008, he was came second in the running for the single-handed "Skipper Figaro - Côtes d’Armor", the only amateur among a long list of professionals. There is no secret to preparing for a race for Yannick who is the instigator of numerous projects.
His group of friends for whom he is the skipper and helmsman even classified sixth in the 2004 European Championship in the First Class 8. His skills as a tactician are recognised by his teammates and led to him being named the French Champion in 2002 (national HN classification) and #2 in the world in the Melges 24 in 2006. Affording an innate talent as a navigator and holding a list of awards that make him one of the best sailor in the world in monotypes, Yannick is ready to realise his childhood nautical dream: the solo offshore race.
"One day I will win the Figaro," he promises.
