The Solitaire du Figaro is underway

The 45 Figaro racers set off from Le Havre yesterday at two in the afternoon, with the cliffs as a backdrop and in dull, overcast conditions

The course for the 41st Solitaire du Figaro stretches out over 1717 nautical miles. The race started in Le Havre with stopovers in Gijon (Spain), Brest (Brittany), Kinsale (Ireland) wih the finish expected on 19th August in Cherbourg.

After 24 hours of racing, Lufthansa is in sixth place.
